The area includes a network of over five miles of trails through the wilderness area and around Lake Corriher and Lake Landis. Fishing passes, as well as campsite rentals are available for a fee at the Town of Landis General Store, where the snacks, bathrooms and handicap parking are located. Disc golf and kayaking are also offered.
Lake Corriher Wilderness Area Facebook Page makes it obvious that the entire area is enjoyed by many surrounding residents whether for hiking, mountain biking or camping. Those fishing, with a permit, can hook Largemouthed and Smallmouthed Bass and Crappies.
At this time, fishing passes may be purchased at the park office at Lake Corriher. A valid North Carolina Fishing license is required to fish.
See the Lake Corriher Wilderness Area Rules and Regulations and Lake Corriher Wilderness Area Brochure and Map for additional information.
