The Uptown Charlotte CycleLink runs from Little Sugar Creek Greenway at 7th Street 1.9 miles across the center of uptown to the Irwin Creek Greenway at 5th Street. Using 6th Street for the majority of the distance, the facility allows 2-way bicycle and e-scooter travel that is protected from motor vehicle traffic by curbing. The CycleLink plays a key role in bikeway network of the city and the region, by connecting the two north-south greenways located on opposite sides of uptown, as well as the Charlotte Rail Trail in the middle. CycleLink users can access many uptown businesses, musuems, and the public library.
