This sidewalk segment of the Thread Trail connects Uptown Charlotte to Little Sugar Creek Greenway and Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenways, via Stonewall Street. It also provides access to a number of Uptown attractions, including museums, restaurants, theaters, etc.

Description

The sidewalk connector between Little Sugar Creek and Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenways runs along Stonewall Street, the edge of Uptown Charlotte. This 1.8-mile segment of the Carolina Thread Trail is suitable for walking and running.

A number of Charlotte attractions are located along this segment of the Thread Trail. Some of the many attractions include the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Mint Museum, Knight's Theater, the Harvey B. Gant Center for African- American Arts & Culture, and the Bank of America Stadium.

Other Information

Those using the CATS Blue Line can get off at Stonewall Station to get to the Uptown Charlotte Sidewalk. From Stonewall Station, it's a 0.74-mile walk to Little Sugar Creek Greenway.
